About hShop

What exactly is hShop even?

As you may already have seen or heard, we are a 3DS content preservation service. We provide preserved official 3DS content of all types along with a couple of extras. Our goal is to let the 3DS content library live as long as it possibly can.

Why was it created?

Preservation. A decent chunk of the official content we provide is no longer available for purchase anywhere. We want to provide most if not all content that is (or was) available for the 3DS. This is why we are also a preservation service, and not just one of those sites that provide CIAs.

How long has hShop existed for?

hShop first came to be around September of 2020. Since then, it has gone through many changes and updates. The site you're viewing right now is the third version.

What has changed since then?

A lot. And we mean it. Ever since hShop was created, the site has been updated to be more user-friendly by having things like a search feature and an improved design for mobile users. And, of course, we have added a very large amount of content.

What was hShop like in the beginning?

hShop started as a very basic and minimalistic website that consisted of a limited set of games sourced from various ROM sets for the 3DS. The content was provided by using QR codes to be scanned in FBI.
